Too soon to bounce off Georgia basketball bandwagon, Bulldogs still have bite

ATHENS — It’s too soon to jump off the Georgia basketball bandwagon, even if a 30-point loss to Florida on Saturday makes it tempting.

Coach Mike White’s Bulldogs (14-6, 2-5 SEC) are still in the hunt to make the NCAA tournament for what would be the first time in 10 years even after dropping four games in a row.

That’s a fact supported by metrics — more on that later.

But first things first, White knows he has to get things “fixed” quickly, much like Kirby Smart’s football Bulldogs had to get back on track after a 28-10 loss at Ole Miss.
