ATHENS — Travon Walker is ready to hit somebody -- on the football field.
It’s what he gets paid to do, and Walker is particularly anxious to prove his worth as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft with Jacksonville Jaguars.

“I’m really ready to get into pads now because I’ve been out of pads so long, since the national championship, and to just finally really strike somebody and be as physical as I can,” Walker said on Wednesday, per a Yahoo report. “I’m ready to get back to that.”
Walker brings an all-business approach to the field, so much so it seems his new teammates are working harder to loosen him up before the team has full contact next week.
