Police in Winder say a man arrested on auto theft charges in Missouri is charged in last month’s murders of a man and woman who were shot and killed at their home in Barrow County: suspect Martell Scott is 25 years old, from Kansas City. He’s the accused triggerman in the March 5 shooting deaths of 29 year-old Marcus Gardner and 30 year-old Christina Smith.
Police had gone to a home at 180 Bush Chapel Drive, where they found the bodies of 29-year-old Marcus Gardner and 30-year-old Christina Virginia Smith.
Investigators determined that both had been shot.
Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach spoke exclusively with the family of one of the victims.
“She texted me back and said, ‘I love you, mommy.’ That’s what she always said, or ‘I love you, too,’” Willie Mae Smith said.
