Watkinsville man killed, grandsons injured in crash in Towns Co

Mark Savage’s two young grandchildren were, at last report, still hospitalized after a crash that happened late last week in Towns County. Savage, 63 years old from Oconee County, was killed in the wreck that happened as the family was driving home from a trip to a water park in Hiawassee. The Georgia State Patrol says their car was hit by a dump truck. The 68 year-old dump truck driver was also injured in the accident, which remains under investigation.
