Highlighted by nine dual meets and a competitive fall invitational, the University of Georgia swimming and diving teams announced their 2022-23 schedules Wednesday afternoon.
Under the new leadership of women’s head coach Stefanie Williams Moreno and men’s head coach Neil Versfeld, the Bulldogs will face many of the nation’s top competitors during the season, which includes four home meets at Gabrielsen Natatorium and five SEC opponents.
The 2022-23 season begins with a home meet against Arizona State on Friday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m., followed the next day by a tri-meet against the Sun Devils and Missouri at 10 a.m. The Bulldogs then head on the road for dual meets at Georgia Tech (Oct 12) and Florida State (Oct. 22) before returning home for their annual rivalry meet against Florida on Oct. 28 in Athens. The Gators then return for the Georgia Invitational, running Nov. 17-19 at Gabrielsen, with Auburn, Florida State, and Georgia Tech also competing in the meet. The 2022 calendar slate concludes on Monday, Dec. 19 with a trip to Kentucky.
2023 opens for Georgia with the biannual Georgia Diving Invitational, running Jan. 3-5, before returning to the road to face conference foes South Carolina (Jan. 14) and Tennessee (Jan. 21). The dual meet schedule concludes on Jan. 28 with the annual Senior Day meet against Emory.
Georgia begins postseason action at the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships on Feb. 14-18 in Bryan-College Station, Texas, followed by the Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet (Feb. 25-26) the following weekend in Athens. Qualified divers will compete in the Zone B Championships in Knoxville (March 5-8), while selected Bulldogs will travel to Elkhart, Indiana for the CSCAA National Invitational Championship on March 9-11.
