UGA Police arrest student after social media threat

A University of Georgia freshman is being held at the Athens-Clarke County jail with no bond after making a terroristic threat via a popular social media outlet.

The Student has been identified as Stuart Harris from Charlottesville, Virginia

From the UGA Police Department:

Early Sunday morning, University of Georgia Police, acting on information provided by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, arrested and charged a first-year UGA student from Virginia who was residing in Brumby Hall with making terroristic threats, based on posts he made to the social media platform Yik Yak.

Police transported the student to the Clarke County jail Sunday morning. He has been removed from campus pending further disciplinary review later this week.
