The fourth-ranked University of Georgia equestrian team will open its season against top-ranked Auburn on Friday, October 23 at 2 p.m. at the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop.

After the 2019-20 season was cut short due to COVID-19, the Bulldogs are back in action with Southeastern Conference opponents-only for the fall.

The Bulldogs return 10 starters to the Jumping Seat and Western lineups and add promising freshmen to the roster.  Seniors Ali Tristschler and Hayley Mairano lead the Flat and Fences squads, while juniors Sara Lewis and Jordan Carpenter return for Horsemanship and Reining, respectively.

Additional fall competitions include hosting Texas A&M on Thursday, Oct. 29 and a meet on the road at South Carolina on Nov. 13.  A spring schedule will be released at a later date.

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, no fans will be permitted to UGA equestrian meets this fall.  Guests will be permitted through a “Player Pass List” only.
