UGA, CCSD students prepare for return to classrooms

Today is a registration day at UGA, with University of Georgia students signing up for the spring semester classes that begin on Monday.

Students in Fannin and Gilmer counties are returning to classrooms this morning, back after Christmas break. This is also back to school day in Greene County and in the city schools in Jefferson. Clarke County students return from their holiday break on Monday.

Today is a teachers planning day in the Clarke County School District.

Jamie Green says this school year will be his last as principal at Gainesville High School. It’s a job he’s held for the past six years. Green says he’s leaving Gainesville to take a job in Brazil.
