The president of the University of Connecticut is in Athens: Susan Herbst will deliver the University of Georgia’s annual Louise McBee Lecture. The lecture, named in honor of the former UGA dean and Athens state representative, is set for 11 o’clock this morning in the Chapel on the University’s North Campus.
There is music this evening in Athens: the University of Georgia Symphony and UGA’s Combined Choirs perform in their final concert of the season. It’s set for 7:30 at the Hodgson School of Music on River Road in Athens.
There is a campus construction advisory from the University of Georgia: contractors are installing utility lines along Herty Mall near Caldwell Hall. UGA says the work that begins today is expected to wrap up by Saturday, with some traffic and pedestrian impacted.
