Tuesday funeral for Bulldog star, businessman Catfish Jackson

A funeral for the man known as Catfish Jackson is set for tomorrow in Savannah: former Georgia Bulldog football player Kevin Jackson died last week at the age of 62. Jackson, who went on to become a successful businessman, was a member of the Bulldogs 1980 national championship team.

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Kevin Jackson (Savannah, Georgia), born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 62, on April 4, 2024. He was predeceased by : his parents, June Jackson and Richard Jackson of Carterville, Georgia.. He is survived by : his wife Libby; his children, Elizabeth (Tyler Sumner), Kev (Kate Jackson) and Mary Margaret (Thomas Cone); and his grandchildren, Jackson, Baker, Field, Trip, Sara Collins, Will and Luke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Church (28 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401).
