Today is election day in District 2 in Athens: voters go to the polls to settle a Clarke County School Board runoff that pits incumbent Claudia Butts against challenger Mary Bagby. Fewer than 100 early votes were cast during last week’s advance voting.
The polls that open at 7 o’clock this morning are open until 7 o’clock tonight.
There are also runoffs today in Sheriff’s elections in Franklin, Morgan, and Elbert counties.
