From WSB TV…

A woman is recovering after being shot in the head during a possible road rage incident on Interstate 85.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina, a woman was shot at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday as she, her husband, and two children were traveling on I-85 southbound near the Georgia state line.

According to a GoFundMe campaign started by the victim’s friends, she is identified as Heather Stevanus.

Her family was returning home from a Monster Jam show in Greenville, South Carolina when they were involved in what the sheriff’s office describes as a “possible road rage” shooting.

According to Lucy Haskill, who started one of the GoFundMe fundraisers, the driver of a BMW opened fire on the family’s van, striking Heather in the head and narrowly missing her two children in the back.

Heather survived her injuries, however, there is no word at this time on how severe they are.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for any information about the shooting.
