23 years later, the cast of the hit HBO Series “Band of Brothers” gathered in northeast Georgia to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-day.
Board member for Camp Toccoa Brad Retting said All Airborne Battalion, a nonprofit organization focusing on conducting operations to honor the legacy of service members before them, led the actors in training and introduced them to life in the barracks. The actors say the exercises all prepared them to do just like the men they portrayed did and parachute into Normandy. The event was part of a documentary of the cast’s trip from Toccoa to Normandy.
