A number of school districts will be closed today due to power outages caused by Tropical Storm Zeta. The storm moved through early Thursday, leaving trees and powerlines down across the area. At one point, more than a million people were without power across the state.

The following schools are affected:

Banks County Schools (Closed Friday)

Bartow County Schools (Closed Friday – No distance learning)

Cobb County Schools (Closed Friday – All classes canceled)

Dawson County Schools (Closed, 12-month staff report)

Douglas County Schools (Closed Friday – Digital learning day)

Fannin County Schools (Closed Friday)

Fulton County Schools (Closed Friday – Remote teacher workday)

Gwinnett County Schools (Closed Friday – Digital learning day)

Habersham County Schools (Closed Friday)

Hall County Schools (Closed Friday – Digital learning day)

Lumpkin County Schools (Closed Friday)

White County Schools (Closed Friday)
