There was a Thursday ribbon cutting in Jackson County to mark the ceremonial opening of an expanded FedEx facility that already employs some 350 workers: the ground facility in Braselton is looking to take on another 150 for the upcoming holiday shopping and shipping season.
“This new station in Braselton will enable us to provide faster and more reliable ground service in the area and beyond,” says Bob Holcombe, FedEx Ground’s southern regional vice president. “At more than 500,000 square feet, this facility can sort up to 15,000 packages per hour and we made sure to have it come on board in time for the busy holiday shipping season.
