The annual Red Clay Conference returns to the University of Georgia: this year’s Conference, looking at Georgia’s water resources, takes place today at UGA, in the University’s Dean Rusk Hall. It is underway at 9 o’clock this morning. The University’s Red Clay Conference focuses on the law and environmental issues in Georgia.

The Red Clay Conference is an annual regional conference inviting presentations on, and discussion of, relevant topics in environmental law. Red Clay 2022 will focus on issues pertaining to water law and water resources in Georgia. The conference is titled “Diving into Georgia’s Water Resources” and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 (Water Division) Deputy Director Denisse Diaz will deliver the Peter Appel Keynote Lecture. Panel discussions will focus on three areas: water wars, wetlands and coasts, and rivers, streams and waterways. The conference is organized by the Environmental Law Association.
