Police ID UGA rape suspect

Athens-Clarke County Police were, at last report, still trying to track down one of two men named as persons of interest in the reported rape of a University of Georgia student, a 20 year-old woman who says she was sexually assaulted last weekend after getting into a car with two men at the North Campus Parking Deck. Police have obtained warrants for Dionicio Guadarrama. He's 19 years old, from Carnesville. Charges against Guadarrama include rape and aggravated sexual battery.

On February 25, 2020, ACCPD investigators obtained warrants for Dionicio Guadarrama, 19 of Carnesville, GA, for Rape, Aggravated Sexual Battery, and Sexual Battery.

The ACCPD is actively searching for Guadarrama; he may have fled the area. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Guadarrama should contact the Athens-Clarke County Police Department at 706-546-5900 or call 9-1-1.

A digital image of Guadarrama has been provided with this release. It should be noted that the image is a few years old, and Guadarrama will appear a little older than depicted.
