From Facebook…

After much prayer, thoughtful consideration, and deliberation with my wife, Missy; I have decided not to seek re-election for Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. While this decision is firm, I reserve the right to reverse this decision in the event that a quality candidate does not run for the position.I am very appreciative of the support of the many people who have helped and encouraged me over the years. During my 3 terms in office; with the help of the district commissioners, county staff, elected officials and many volunteers; we have achieved many tremendous accomplishments of which I am very proud. I am honored to have served with each of them and I thank them all very much.Lastly, I love this county, where I have lived all of my life, very much. I have worked very hard to serve our wonderful citizens and to improve, protect, and preserve the awesome quality of life that we enjoy and sometimes take for granted. Thank you all so much for the giving me the opportunity to serve you.
