NE Ga police blotter: more hate-filled flyers in driveways, more underage alcohol sales in stores

They have landed in driveways in Athens and Oconee County in recent months, and now more of those anti-semitic flyers are showing up in metro Atlanta. They were found this week outside homes in Marietta.

Police in Lavonia have cited the operators of five convenience stores for selling alcohol to underage buyers. Lavonia police say five store clerks were arrested.

A Gillsville man gets a 19-year prison sentence, his punishment for child molestation: 44 year-old Jacob Mathias III was acquitted on a rape charge but found guilty on the molestation allegations in a trial that began earlier this month in Gainesville.

Gainesville Police say a possible medical emergency led to the crash of an SUV that plowed into a restaurant on Pearl Nix Parkway in Gainesville. The driver was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was, at last report, listed in stable condition. There were minor injuries to one person inside the restaurant.
