NE Ga police blotter: Athens woman found in Habersham Co ID’d, man charged after chase in Bank Co

We have this morning the name of the Athens woman whose body was found earlier this week in Habersham County: Deborah Collier was 59 years old. Her family says she disappeared from home in Athens last weekend. Her body was discovered off Highway 441 near Tallulah Falls. An investigation into Collier’s death is ongoing.

A 25 year-old man from Lula is arrested after a police chase in Banks County: Kadin Carlin is accused of trying to outrun pursuing police on a motorcycle. Georgia State Troopers made the arrest after Carlin ditched his motorcycle and ran into woods off Otis Brown Road in Banks County. A State Patrol K9 unit tracked him to a business in Baldwin.

There are child molestation allegations for a man in Gainesville: 54 year-old Repo Lewis was arrested and booked into the Hall County jail on charges stemming from the alleged abuse of an 11 year-old relative.

A man from Loganville is arrested and charged in the murder of his mother in Forsyth County. Suspect Chris Pino is 39 years old; victim Tresa Slate was 61. Pino was arrested by police in Gainesville.
