Manhunt underway for man police say killed mother, teen in Gwinnett County

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. —

Police were called to the home along Apple Grove Road just after 2 p.m. with reports that two people were shot inside.

When police arrived they found a 40-year-old mother and her 16-year-old son with gunshot wounds. Police have not released the names of the victims at this time.

Investigators are actively looking for William Jerome Adams, 24, in connection with the killings.

He is believed to have fled the area in a 2010 black Audi sedan with Georgia tag RWT9487. He is described as being about 6′2″ and weighing around 210 pounds.

Police believe Adams may have been in a relationship with the mother.
