Hunter Swafford has died at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center: he’s the 21 year-old son of a 47 year-old mother in Madison County. Both were shot and wounded at a home near Colbert, shot by the mother’s boyfriend, who then turned his gun on himself in what the Madison County Sheriff’s Office says was a murder-suicide.
The mother remains hospitalized in Atlanta.
The deceased boyfriend, victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, has been identified as Sean Holler. He was 54 years old, from Athens.
