The City Council in Jefferson signs off on an update to its alcohol ordinance: micro-breweries can now operate in Jefferson.
The City of Hartwell marked the official takeover of Hart State Park from the Corps of Engineers with a ground-breaking and name change ceremony held Tuesday. Hall County Congressman Doug Collins was on hand. Hartwell is changing the name of the park to Hartwell Lakeside Resort and is working with a developer to expand and upgrade the area and turn it into a multi-use vacation venue.
