The under-construction arena at the Classic Center is on the Commission’s business agenda, as is talk and a possible vote on the use of federal funding to help with homeless assistance programs in Athens.

Jimmy Terrell takes his oath of office today in Winder: he will be sworn in as the city’s new Mayor in a 5 o’clock ceremony at the Winder Community Center. Terrell will then preside over his first meeting of the Winder City Council. That gets underway at 6 o’clock this evening.
