Local government calendar includes A-CC Commission work session

Athens-Clarke County Commissioners will gather for an afternoon work session, one that gets underway at 5:30 at City Hall.  Today’s meeting will stream live on the Athens-Clarke County government website.

The Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections meets today. The Board session is set for 4:30 this afternoon at the Government Building on Dougherty Street.

The use of federal American Rescue Plan dollars to help with affordable housing in Athens is the focus of an advisory committee meeting that is set for 10 o’clock this morning at the Government Building on Dougherty Street in Athens.

Oconee County Commissioners are looking to fill openings on four Oconee County boards and bureaus. There is a May 12 deadline to apply for seats on the Oconee County Animal Services Advisory Board, the Keep Oconee Beautiful Commission, DFACS in Oconee County, and the County’s Tourism and Visitors Bureau. Application information can be found on the Oconee County government website.

This evening’s Barrow County Commission meeting gets underway at 6 o’clock at the Historic Courthouse in Winder.
