Governor Brian Kemp will be in Dahlonega this morning, joining state lawmakers from Lumpkin County in announcing plans to expand high-speed fiber internet. Windstream Communications says it will spend more than $20 million on a project meant to enhance broadband into more than eight thousand homes, businesses, and schools in what are called underserved areas of Lumpkin County.
