The early voting that began earlier this week continues today in Jackson County, with Cole Elrod and Joshua Sheppard in a race for the District 5 seat on the Jackson County Commission. The winner fills the seat that opened when Marty Clark launched his campaign to be the next Commission Chairman. The advance voting continues through March 8 at the Jackson County Elections Center in Jefferson.
Mark Banks says he will not be on the November reelection ballot in Walton County: Banks has been a Walton County Commissioner since winning his first election in 2012.
