A fundraiser is underway for Midland Ice Cream Social in Gainesville: it’s a new nonprofit IN Hall County, aimed at providing employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental challenges.

Midland Ice Cream Social in Gainesville is a new enterprise of Randy and Friends, which helps young adults with various intellectual and physical disabilities. Becky Vinson is the Executive Director of the nonprofit and tells GNN how the mobile ice cream cart came to employ eight adults with disabilities.
Due to growing support from the community, a fundraising effort is underway to purchase a storefront that could provide more opportunities for those with disabilities and independence. Visit Randy-and-Friends-dot-org to learn more.
