Hart Co Commissioner loses jail food contract after arrest

Hart County Commissioners are finding other arrangements for feeding inmates at the Hart County jail: a County contract with a diner in Hartwell was cancelled after last week’s arrest of Hart County Commissioner RC Oglesby (pictured above), who owned the restaurant that provided food for the lockup in Hartwell. Oglesby was, at last report, in that jail. He and several of his family members are facing drug and racketeering charges.

We have this morning the name of the man killed in a weekend car crash in Elbert County: Austin Nestor was 28 years old. The wreck happened on Jaudon Road in Elbert County: the Georgia State Patrol says Nestor’s car hit a tree and rolled into a pond.

The Sheriff’s Office in Morgan County says one suspect has been arrested after a home invasion that occurred Monday near Madison: a second suspect was sought by deputies from Morgan and Henry counties; the GBI law enforcement from South Carolina are also in on the ongoing investigation in Morgan County.
