Hall County opening up warming centers during the day for relief from the extreme cold

HALL COUNTY, GA — Hall County is urging all residents to make sure they take this time to get ready for the hard freeze and possible wintry mix as we get closer to the weekend.

The county is also opening up community centers as places for residents to go to stay warm. The county’s three community centers will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays and from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“All of our citizens deserve a safe place to keep warm during the inclement weather, and there are several community centers throughout the County that can serve as that place,” Hall County Assistant Administrator Casey Ramsey said. “While these facilities will only be open during normal business hours, our staff are prepared to assist citizens with finding additional resources should they need them.”
