Man accused of killing girlfriend, her son in Gwinnett, arrested trying to enter Mexico

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A man accused of killing his girlfriend and her teenage son in Gwinnett County is now in custody.

Gwinnett County police said William Jerome Adams was arrested in Texas after he tried to enter Mexico.

Police had been searching for Adams since the March 26 shooting. Police received a call around 2 p.m. about two people shot inside a home off Apple Grove Road.

When officers arrived, they found the bodies of 39-year-old Mary Lindsay and her 16-year-old son Atif Muhammad.

Police believe Adams may have been in a relationship with Lindsay. He will be extradited back to Georgia to face prosecution.
