GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A former bank worker in Gwinnett County is charged with identity theft, forgery, and accused of helping to steal millions of dollars

33-year-old Fedrick Jefferies of Dacula worked at the Fifth 3rd Bank on Holcomb Bridge Road in Norcross

Investigators say Jeffries opened five checking accounts under stolen identities.

The accounts were used to deposit stolen and forged checks.

Another bank worker was doing the same thing in West Palm Beach, Florida. Between the two of them, they helped steal more than $2.6 million dollars.

Police are still searching for the unknown thieves who worked with Jefferies.
