Georgia’s unemployment has risen, but is still beating the national rate.

The state’s Department of Labor reports that Georgia’s unemployment rate registered at 3.7 percent in the month of November. That is up one-tenth of a percent from October.

Labor officials say Georgia’s economy remains among the strongest in the U.S. citing Georgia’s unemployment rate being a half percent lower than the national average.

Georgia added 85,000 workers to the labor force and created nearly 46,000 new job opportunities over the past 12 months.
