Georgia Power is doing work on the University of Georgia’s East Campus, work that will make for traffic delays starting today and continuing through the end of the year. UGA says it will impact drivers on East Campus Road between Carlton Street and College Station Road. The Georgia Power crews will be replacing power lines and utility poles.
From UGA ArchNews...
Georgia Power has made the University aware of upcoming work that will impact traffic patterns on East Campus.
Beginning this Wednesday, Nov. 15, Georgia Power will be performing high-voltage work and utility pole replacements on East Campus Road between Carlton Street and College Station Road. We have been told that the project should be completed by Dec. 31, given no delays or other issues arise.
Work will occur daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lane shifts/closures will affect north and southbound traffic, causing potential delays for travelers, including UGA buses. We recommend planning for extended commute times. Please be cautious and mindful of other vehicles and pedestrians as you travel through this area.
