Mr. Mack Newman “Bud” Lunsford, 86, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on September 22, 1935 in Cleveland, GA, he was the son of the late Joseph McKinley and May Lou Jarrard Lunsford. He was retired from the Gainesville Bowling Center and Lanier Raceway for 25 years of Stock Car Racing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lunsford is preceded in death by his son, Brian Lunsford.

Mr. Lunsford is survived by his wife, Laquita Tarpley Lunsford of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Debbie Lunsford Love (Mike) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Joey Love, Alex Love, Jon Love, Raya Love; great grandchildren, Brianna Love, Gabriel Wood, Tyler Love; sister, Dot Lunsford West; nephew, Michael West; great niece, Tammy Johnson.
