Fatalities in north Ga plane crash

A small plane crash near a North Georgia airport killed three people and sent a fourth person to an area hospital, authorities confirmed.

The single-engine plane crashed near the Blairsville Airport on Wednesday just after 7:30 p.m., Union County’s Emergency Management Agency Director David Dyer told Channel 2 Action News.

The injured person was flown to a nearby hospital, and the person’s condition was not provided. The names of the deceased were also not provided.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
