Falcons reopen Flowery Branch facility

In another sign of a return to normalcy, the Atlanta Falcons reopen the team facility in Flowery Branch, Hall County headquarters that had been closed since March because of COVID 19.

From D. Orlando Ledbetter, AJC…

Here are five things to know about the Falcons on Monday:

  1. Facilities to open on Tuesday. The Falcons will reopen their facilities on Tuesday with no non-injured players and the number cannot exceed 75 people. No coaches will be permitted in the building.

The only players allowed are those who are currently undergoing medical treatment or rehabilitation, per the rules outlined by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Strength and conditioning coaches working on player’s rehab may continue that work in the facility.

The team’s offseason program, which started on April 18, with continue virtually.

  1. Georgia Dome. The AJC's Tim Tucker wrote a tribute to the Georgia Dome's 25-year history in the Bizarre Moments in Atlanta Sports History series.
  2. Matt Ryan's birthday. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan turned 35 on Sunday.
  3. Grady Jarrett's attack tape. After not replacing all of the talent that went out of the door in free agency, the Falcons are trying to improve internally. AJC columnist Michael Cunningham looked at those issues and how Grady Jarrett's point of attack tape was broken down.
  4. Mobile ticketing. With the Falcons set to go mobile ticketing, we wonder if this will retire the "street ticket scalper?"
