The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is pleased to announce that five students from the University of Georgia have been named recipients of the 2024 Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund: Timi Meade, Michael Brent Miller, Cameron Bartsch, Hannah Karshna, and Abigail Glass.

This year the Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund will provide more than $23,000 to individuals interested in pursuing a hospitality, event, music, or sports management career. The Classic Center Cultural Foundation awards over $60,000 in annual community grants and scholarships in hospitality, performing arts, and visual arts.

“Paul Martin and this scholarship fund are an essential part of the vision and establishment of the continuum of hospitality education, which meets individuals where they are in their career path to teach them the necessary skills to succeed in the hospitality industry,” said Stephanie VanDyck, Director of The Classic Center Cultural Foundation.

· The Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund was established to honor Paul Martin and his lifelong contributions to Athens.

· Paul Martin supports both classroom curriculum and hands-on training and feels students receive the best education when these two tactics are combined.

· Paul Martin was a member of The Classic Center Authority Board from 1996 to 2004. After serving on The Classic Center Authority Board, Martin became a Board Emeritus member of The Classic Center Cultural Foundation Board of Directors, a lifelong status.
