CCSD's early registration for Pre-K, kindergarten is underway

The early registration for the Clarke County School District’s kindergarten and Pre-K programs that began earlier this week continue through the first week of February.

CCSD’s pre-K and kindergarten early registration period for the 2024-25 school year opens Monday, Jan. 8, and runs through Friday, Feb. 9.

CCSD’s student registration is now fully online at www.clarke.k12.ga.us/registration. Families should wait until Jan. 8 to complete registration for the 2024-25 school year.

Pre-K Early Registration

Students must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2024, to be eligible to attend pre-K in CCSD for the 2024-25 school year. Students are initially placed into pre-K classes based on the residential attendance zone of the legal parent or guardian.

Students who are registered during the early registration period will be entered into the CCSD Pre-K Lottery, and families will receive an official letter via U.S. mail by April 15 notifying them of class placement or waitlist. For registration after Feb. 9, seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Instructions

From the registration home page, click “Pre-K Registration” on the left-side panel.

First, before starting the online registration, make sure you have all of the required documents ready for uploading:

• 2 proofs of residency – dated within 30 days of registration.
• Parent/guardian official photo ID or Passport
• Student’s birth certificate or passport
• Student’s Social Security card
• Georgia Immunization Form 3231
• Custody document (if not the birth parent).

Additional information about accepted proofs of residency and the other required documentation is available on the registration home page.

Next, complete the entire online registration. *Note: The process is not complete until you click the “submit” button. You should receive a confirmation email that your early pre-K registration is completed and submitted for verification.

If you are unable to upload documents and/or have problems with completing the registration online, you are welcome to make an appointment for an in-person visit to the Student Registration Center at the CCSD District Office, located at 595 Prince Ave. Appointments are required for in-person visits. ***Please note: The District Office will be closed Dec. 21 through Jan. 2 for winter break and will reopen for business on Wednesday, Jan. 3.

Kindergarten Early Registration

Students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2024, to be eligible to attend kindergarten in CCSD next school year. Students who are currently enrolled in pre-K do not need to be re-registered for kindergarten and will be automatically enrolled in their zoned school for the 2024-25 school year. The early registration period is for students who will be new to CCSD next school year. Registration will remain open throughout the year, but families are encouraged to take advantage of the early period if able.
