Busy weekend for area police, firefighters

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office reports the arrests of two men from Hoschton: 30 year-old Daniel Clark and 36 year-old Marco Davis are facing armed robbery charges, accused in a home invasion reported back on December 30. Clark and Davis were, at last report, being held without bond in the Jackson County jail. 

A suspect is arrested and charged in the death of a man murdered in Walton County: Jonathan Gresham was shot and killed in Monroe.

Three people—a man from Flowery Branch, a woman from Braselton, and a teenager from Gainesville—are charged in an armed robbery in Walton County. A woman tells Walton County Sheriff's Office investigators says she was robbed at her home in Loganville. 

A 63 year-old man is killed in a house fire in Monroe County: Monroe County firefighters are searching for the cause of the blaze that burned the home and claimed the life of the man now identified as Alexander Carmean. 

There are arson charges for two people arrested in Gwinnett County: Delilah Smith and boyfriend Jerome Walker are accused of setting the fire that burned Smith's restaurant in Duluth, a blaze that burned the building last Tuesday. Both are facing first degree arson charges.

An Alpharetta man is arrested after allegedly trying to grab a 3 year-old boy in a bookstore in Forsyth County: suspect Michael Fazio is 26 years old. He was booked into the Forsyth County jail, where he is being held without bond.
