The Georgia Bulldogs are preparing to make a run for the National Championship with a new quarterback.

When the Dawgs and Notre Dame square off in the Sugar Bowl, Gunner Stockton is expected to make his first start at Georgia.

Bulldogs’ head coach Kirby Smart says Stockton is getting more reps at practice as he replaces the injured Carson Beck.

UGA announced Beck underwent surgery on Monday on the right elbow that he injured in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta against the Texas Longhorns.

He is out for the remainder of the season.
