Plans to reconfigure lanes on Barnett Shoals Road—plans that include on-street bicycle facilities—are up for discussion in a 5 o'clock forum at Fire Station Number 7 on Barnett Shoals Road. Athens-Clarke County traffic planners are looking at resurfacing and reconfiguring for Barnett Shoals between Cedar Rock Trace and College Station Road.

The public is invited to review proposed lane reconfigurations to add on-street bicycle facilities on Barnett Shoals Road between Cedar Rock Trace and College Station Road. This roadway will be resurfaced in 2018, and these changes have been proposed for implementation as part of that resurfacing project.
