The Athens Academy Spartans, after a weekend win over Prince Avenue Christian, are gearing up for a state championship football game against a team from Eagles Landing Christian Academy in McDonough: the game will be played on Wednesday December 12 in Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The date—along with all the high school football championship games that were to have been played this coming weekend—was changed because the Atlanta United Soccer team is playing for the MLS championship this coming Saturday, also in Mercedes Benz Stadium.
