Area briefs: Stallone filming in Winder, DA wants new courthouse in Hartwell

There will be celebrity sightings in Barrow County: Sylvester Stallone is filming his Tulsa King television series in downtown Winder. Tulsa King streams on Paramount.

One person is dead and three people are injured in a crash in Banks County: the woman who was killed in the wreck on Highway 441 died after being taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.

The District Attorney who prosecutes cases in Hart County says officials in Hartwell should give thought to building a new Hart County courthouse. Northern Judicial Circuit DA Parks White says the current courthouse, constructed in the early 1970s, is outdated.

Charles Malin is in the Hall County jail: the 45 year-old man from Flowery Branch was arrested on theft and drug charges, caught with marijuana and methamphetamine after allegedly robbing a hardware store. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says Malin also had a counterfeit $100 bill.
