Area briefs: Elbert Chamber holds banquet, Stallone show to film in Gainesville

The Elbert County Chamber of Commerce holds its 100th Chamber Banquet, with festivities underway at 5:30 this afternoon Rock Gym in Elberton.

There are new complaints about poultry houses in Elbert County: County Commissioners, meeting this week in Elberton, heard from residents who live along Limo Road, concerned about foul odors and possible water contamination.

They are making plans for TV production in Hall County: Paramount’s Tulsa King, which stars Sylvester Stallone, will be filming in downtown Gainesville.

We have this morning the name of the man killed in this week’s motorcycle crash in Hall County: James Gisonna was a former Chairman of the Hall County Republican Party. Gisonna died after wrecking his bike on Poplar Springs road in south Hall.

There are child porn charges for a Hall County teenager: Mario Lindsey is 19 years old, from Flowery Branch. He was arrested and booked into the Hall County jail.

A woman from Stephens County is arrested on animal cruelty charges in White County: Kandice Johnson is 31 years old, from Toccoa. White County Animal Control says a dead and decaying puppy was found in her apartment in Cleveland.
