The Athens Clarke County Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting that happened on West Clayton Street.
From the ACCPD:
On October 29th at approximately 2:00 am, ACCPD officers were near the 100 block of West Clayton Street when they heard multiple gunshots.
Officers arrived at the West Clayton Street and Hull Street intersection to find a large brawl in the roadway. After officers dispersed the affray, two gunshot victims with wounds to their torso were located. EMS responded and transported the victims to a local hospital with serious injuries. Both victims are expected to survive their injuries.
