ACCPD investigating deadly shooting

Athens Clarke County Police have arrested a 16-year old in connection to a deadly shooting in Athens on Monday night.

From the ACCPD:

On May 27th, at approximately 10:25 PM, Athens-Clarke County Police responded to a shooting at Rolling Ridge Apartments. As officers arrived on the scene, a subject was found with a gunshot wound. Cameron Manago, 20, Athens, GA, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Zyquavious Thomas, 16, Athens, GA, has been arrested and charged with Felony Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, and Aggravated Assault. Thomas is being charged as an adult.

As a part of this investigation, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department’s Real-Time Crime Center was utilized for video footage provided through a partnership with Rolling Ridge Apartments.
