The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Elections Department invites residents to submit artistic designs for an “I Voted Early” sticker to be distributed to voters during early voting for elections that take place in 2024. Design submissions are due by Sunday, August 27.
A full list of design specifications and an online submission form can be found at www.accgov.com/votingsticker. Submissions must be from Athens-Clarke County residents, must include the language “I Voted Early,” and may not reference any specific political party or candidate. Residents can also drop off submissions at the Elections Department at 155 East Washington Street during 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on weekdays through Friday, August 25.
A panel of judges will select several designs that will then be voted on by the community at large. Voting is tentatively scheduled to open in early September on www.accgov.com/votingsticker. Paper ballots will also be available in the Elections Department (155 E. Washington Street).
The most popular sticker design will be printed and handed out during the early voting periods for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary (February / March), General Primary (April / May), General Election (October / November), and any runoff elections. With consent from the artist, the design may also be used in other promotional materials for the Elections Department.
