On this day after the Tuesday balloting, the Athens-Clarke County Elections Office is conducting the computation and canvassing of the votes cast locally.

Pursuant to Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A.) § 21-2-492, notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the March 12, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary will take place at the Athens-Clarke County Elections Department’s Office, located at 155 East Washington Street in Athens-Clarke County, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 beginning at 10:00 AM.
The canvassing and computation process includes reconciling provisional ballots as provided in O.C.G.A. sections 21-2-418 and 21-2-419, guaranteeing that all ballots have been counted and tabulated, and that absentee ballots from day-to-day are included in the final vote as provided in subparagraph (a)(1)(G) of Code section 21-2-386.
The canvassing and computation process is open to the public and will take place until completed.
