A-CC Elections Board sets dates for early vote tabulation

The Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections sets the dates for the tabulation of ballots that will be cast in advance of November 7 elections in Athens and Winterville: it will take place on October 31 and on November 2, 6, and 7. Voters in Winterville are settling a City Council contest, while Athens-Clarke County voters are choosing between Eliza Zarate and Andrew Griffeth in a special election for Clerk of Court.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 212-386(a)(2)(A), Safekeeping, certification, and validation of absentee ballots; rejection of ballot; delivery of ballots to location designated by superintendent; duties of superintendent and managers; precinct returns; report of returns of verified and accepted absentee ballots cast as soon as possible following closing of polls; notification of challenged elector; unlawful disclosure of tabulation results, this notice is to inform the community of Athens-Clarke County that the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections will begin processing the Absentee Ballots cast in the November 7, 2023.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-386(a) (3), the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections wish to inform the community of Athens-Clarke County that the Early Tabulation Process of the Absentee Ballots cast and  all votes cast during Advance Voting period will begin at 6pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
